Beer.
Fruit. Especially watermelon, cantaloupe or strawberries.
I’m another one of the cereal-for-dessert people, too.
Cheese sometimes
Whenever I go out to eat sushi, I always get a double order of unagi (eel) and save it for dessert.
Otherwise, I’ll sometimes have a bit of cheese or yogurt for dessert.
I love cheese for dessert, but of course I don’t call it that. If it’s cheese, then it’s the cheese course.
My weird treat is canned vegetables. I’m not sure I realized people ate fresh or steamed vegetables until I went away to college. I completely agree that veggies taste best when they’re fresh. However, once in a while I have cravings for good old canned veggies, usually the pea-and-carrot mix, or the waxy green beans, and I eat them right out of the can. I keep a little stash of the tiny sized cans. It’s like mainlining sodium.
Another PB&J person here, but it looks like I’m the first one here to say anything about cornbread. Maybe it’s because I so rarely eat cornbread, when I do it is seen as a “treat”? Or maybe I’m just a weirdo…

It seems that alot of you consider PB&J for dessert, but have you ever had a Fluffernutter? I know the name is weird ( go ahead and giggle) but that is the best dessert ever. If you dont know what it is , ask and then try.
** NoClueBoy** hit it on the head. Guacamole. I live for it. Guac fries, guac hamburgers…
Mmmm…Gotta go buy some avacados…

Popcorn, sometimes with peanuts. Kettlecorn if I’m in the mood for something sweet or Cocopuffs without milk. I think I like the hand to mouth munching thing that is going on.
A big bowl of strawberry yogurt with fresh bananas sliced up into it.
YUM!!
The vanilla martini–Stoli vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, and a few coffee beans floating on top. I only have it when I’m at the Mirage in Vegas. It is a smooth liquid almost-dessert.
Mashed potatoes and gravy.
Beats cake anytime.
Right now, for non-dessert desserts I settle for:
- Icy cold red seedless grapes
- Cinnamon graham crackers with cream cheese
- Vanilla soy chai tea
When I’m not nursing:
- Buttermilk biscuits with real butter and honey
- Kettle corn with honey roasted peanuts
- Cinnamon graham crackers with peanut butter
I miss honey and peanuts. Oh well.
With my evening tea I love to have a few biccies… rich tea (the closest thing I can find to a graham cracker over here) or if I’m being really really bad the McVitties caramel digestives. They are so ‘to die for’!
Cereal is a good munchy at any time.
Following a light meal, popcorn is yummy cos you can do all sorts of things to it to fit your mood. You can make it savoury or sweet.
Hubby loves his bread as well DeadlyAccurate. He will often have cheese sarnies for his mid-night snack - okay almost anything on bread really
Yogurt for me, definitely. Mixed with rolled oats and wheat germ. The best dessert ever!
A blended Midori margarita is like a lovely green slurpee! How I’d love to have a Slurpee machine that makes margaritas! 7-11, here I come!
Almost anything with gravy. I’m not that much of a dessert person, deep-fried cheesecake notwithstanding.
Foccacia with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
Why has the board been running so blasted fast for me, the past couple of days? It’s 5:00 pm and I have no trouble posting, and there’s almost no waiting time. Wait, my internet connection just cut out. I don’t understand. There.
Dirty Earthworm’s point about Cornbread I understand. I’ve had some that were so sweet that I could have frosted them.
I generaly only eat desserts when I’m at family get togethers. On a regular basis I eat sweets during the day or in the evening watching the tube.
Baked Kuri squash w/ butter & molasses.
Yogurt made f< whole milk, homemade or organic, plain or
