I loves me some hot pasta and potatoes. I sometimes buy Suddenly Salad, make it with butter, and eat it hot. But whoever invented pasta and potato salad was ill.
In my wine drinking days, I loved chilled wine. Mulled wine? HOT wine? I was never that desperate for booze.
Soup should always be hot. Once a friend gave me a container of gazpacho with crab meat. Tried eating it cold but it just didn’t taste right; I heated it up and it was delicious.
I hate cold coffee. Iced coffee? Yuck! I just started drinking Iced Tea this past summer, and even then, I only like it with lemonade. (Yay Arnold Palmers!)
As far as wine, I can handle room temperature wine (red wines shouldn’t be chilled), but I don’t like mulled wine. In general, I don’t like hot alcohol. Sometimes, some whiskey and coffee, or maybe some peppermint schnapps and hot chocolate.
I’m the guy who doesn’t like cold meat. It’s just…wrong somehow. Give me a turkey-swiss sandwich, and I’ll heat that sucker up. No cold cuts for this guy.
Actually it should be. Reds shouldn’t be served at room temperature, at least not normal US room temperatures - they should be slightly cooler. We put ours in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before we open it.
Similarly, whites are usually served too cold. They open up better if they’re slightly warmer than fridge temperature. So leave those out for a few minutes before pouring.
As far as the OP - I hate cold pizza. Never could figure out why people don’t pop it in the microwave for a few minutes, it’s much better that way.
