For anyone new to the "internet". . .

Unfortunately I was unable to find a site which had a title along the lines of “Persephone dot com” - there were a lot of really, really funny teen-angst related stories there, and a link to the “end of the internet” as seen in those annoying cable commercials; and I’m just too lazy to find “Elf Bowling”, but that one required a major download anyway.

Still, I am surprised to see that I am the first to recall the classic “Frog in a Blender” Once again, be careful, especially if you are at work. It’s likely the company safety commandos will not allow access to “joecartoon.com”. If you are given access, the “Gerbil in a Microwave” is pretty funny, too. Enjoy!

Oops! How could I forget! I’m sorry that I can’t remember if this came to my attention via “Weird Earl’s”, but if you’re tired of warm fuzzies…

Check this one out.

And there’s no arguing whether truth is stranger than fiction.

A friend of mine emailed me this with the warning that it is very addictive.
It is.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (in Lego)

Yeti Sports. “Flamingo Drive” and “Orca Slap” are my favorites.

And of course every machine on the web must have Spybot .

Whether you’re a newbie or not, this guy has the funniest site on the Intarweb. Warning…LOTS of reading…and LOTS of laughing.

I am sad because now that he’s gone on to writing books, he no longer updates. :frowning: But get on the mailing list for stuff you won’t find on the site!

Here’s a few:

Wow. I would pay good money for that if they made the entire movie. Brilliant.

The Smurfs “Lost Episode” is just sooooooo wrong. And not work safe.

A lot of my favorite stuff is the work of Joel Veitch of We Like The Moon fame (hauntingly similar to that Quizno’s Sub commercial that, oddly enough, is no longer on their web site). One of my favorites is the kittens’ version of Independent WOman. Although the Punk Kittens are also fun. But whatever you do, don’t let the Viking Kittens take you to a gay bar, because it probably isn’t work safe. And BTW, all of those links are also found at UK version of that web site, which, despite the name, does not appear to be affiliated with Veitch. But often loads faster.

Veitch’s BEST work, however, is the original Viking Kittens. A classic. The ending is so poetic, it brings a tear to the eye. Sniff.

What discussion of funny sites to those who are new to the Internet would be complete without:

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US

:smack: How could I forget the grandaddy of all funny internet flash movies. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s still funny. I’m going to wait 10 years until everyone has forgotten about it and then wear an All Your Base shirt and everyone will love me  .
Little known fact: one of the guys that worked on this used to be a faily prolific poster here.

For all the squirrel fans: WEEEEEEEEE!

(Caution: Flying gonads.)

Cisco, people are never going to spontaneously forget AYB. Ever.

http://www.milkandcookies.com is basically just a huge collection of links to some of the most ridiculous movies, sites, flash anims, etc. out there. Find “Matrix Ping Pong” and their newer one, I think it’s called “The Vault.” Then just hit that random link a bazillion times. A few of the linked sites aren’t work-safe. I think they have red dots. Also, http://www.albinoblacksheep.com and http://www.missdoxie.com/archive.html and undoubtedly thousands of others.

Fight Kikkoman, Fight!

I don’t know if it’s a classic, but it’s sure bizarre. Behold, the Bible, in Lego.

The Elements

Five Minute Voyager

Some funny stuff here. Especially the Arnold Schwarzenegger Celebrity Prank Calls… I’d heard a couple some time back on a radio morning show, and it was great to hear them again.

Me personally, I loves me some linkydinky.com.

A modern-looking Lego church, complete with construction photos.

Very impressive.
