Just don’t randomly cut and paste Javascript in your post, jab. I’m willing to bet that you could so it successfully if you knew what you were doing, but it’s easy to screw up and gives people’s browsers fits. I’ve screwed up a thread with Javascript before, but it was fixable.
Ok, we’re all pretty much clueless on how to fix this. So we have two choices: Keep posting and get to the next page, or lock up the thread. How does everybody vote?
One problem with the idea of continuing to the next page is that something (whether Polycarp’s message or another) has made the screen extra-wide for some readers, and will probably continue to the next screen. So for this reason, I’m voting to lock up and start anew, with a link. I don’t have too much time tonight to wait for votes, so if I don’t hear an outcry within a short time period, I’m gonna lock it up. (Yeah, I know, not necessarily fair – hey, I’m a God, I can do what I want. 
)
I still don’t see the problem. In what way is the thread screwed up?

andros: At 3:18 today, Polycarp tried to post some Java from the other BB. If your browser is Java-enabled, you get an error message whenever you try to load this page, and an unusual amount of gibberish once it finally does load.
So says post number 84, on the way to that magical 100.
Now I’ve gone and done it… (In relation to the message board we’ve been discussing.)

Interesting – they apparently have an auto filter that replaces words with *'s. So far, I’ve seen “porno” and “lesbian” get *'d out (the people got around it to say what had been censored by putting a dash in the middle in a follow-up message).
I went to the discussion of church/state separation, and was incredibly surprised to see a lot of them taking the position that there should not be prayer in school! Wow! A little bit of sanity in an otherwise insane board!
Dunno, but I almost used that as my password. (No, I didn’t end up using it – too easy.)

Nope, wanted it to look real. Well, part of it was that I wasn’t in a very creative mood and couldn’t think of a good handle otherwise. I could have used my old roommate’s handle, “Eclectic Saladbar.” Wonder what they’d have made of that!

I’ve seen this problem before, and yes it will carry to page 3.

ERICH VON DANIKEN WAS ON THE LOCAL NEWS LAST NIGHT!!! I watched Star Trek: Voyager and the 10:00 news had him on right afterwards. He was in L.A. to lecture at a MUFON convention. He still believes:
- Ezekiel saw a spacecraft
- That the Nazca lines are a spaceport
- That Mayan carving of a king going into the after-life is really a depiction of a man flying into space
Gotta admire his persistence, if not his ability to reason.
