I found that by mistake, and couldn´t find what it´s supposed to do, appart from changing the way you see a page. Specially strange since it just works on the SDMB :eek:*

That takes you to the “View as Printable page” portion of the thread. If you go to the top, click “Thread Tools”, then “View Printable Version” or something, you’ll see the same.

Interesting. The fact that you’ve only had it work on the Dope must mean that the SDMB has set up a different style sheet or something for printing, which basically takes out the stuff you would click on. You’d think other sites that have a “Printable Version” button would do this, too.

This can be done on any webpage by adding ACCESSKEY=“some_key_here” to an <A>, <INPUT>, or <BUTTON> tag. It doesn’t work in IE though.
For the record, in the Mac vesion of Firefox, ctrl-3 does the same thing. Doesn’t work in Safari.
