Boo Boo Foo Yeah it’s an American thing. It just pissed me off that basically mental mistakes lost us the game.
I’m not especially a Niners fan, although my girlfriend is from SF and says that they should be my second team.
But may i just use this occasion to bitch–again and again-- about the NFL’s fucking absurd overtime rules? The idea that a team can win in overtime wthout the other team even getting its hands on the ball is the most unbelievably fucked up thing i’ve ever seen in sport. It’s even dumber than the designated hitter.
Although, having watched the Ohio State/NC State game yesterday, i don’t think the college OT system is much better. Hand the ball to the team just outside the red zone and say “Here, take a shot”? How fucking stupid. Play the game properly.
The only real consolation i got from the Rams win over SF is that St. Louis seems to be following last yar’s patter–lose when Warner is QB, and win when he’s not. And anything that makes Kurt Warner loook bad is fine by me!
Finally, as a Ravens fan, i have only two words to say:
Why not rant once more about the NFL’s stupid “coin toss wins the game” overtime rules? I don’t want them to have the college overtime, which is equally stupid, but JEEZ, Tags, make it either “win by 6” or “both teams have to have the ball before someone can win”.
