Okay… songs and the times during the day when I feel them… just read and you will get the drift…
Wake up… “Moonlight Sonata,” or “Spoon” by Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette… ups and downs, generally melancholy.
After the first cup of coffee… “Flight of the Bumblebee” 'nuff said.
Traffic Jams produce the feeling of Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi.” Where did my youth go?
After the buzz from coffee wears off… Back down to “Fur Elise,” mostly down but some fun parts of the song
After lunch it is usually “Allegro con Brio” (Beethoven’s fifth, I think (and best)). Again, ups and downs, generally upbeat though. Definitely shows concentration and agitation; The different stories of the song stop and start with the different trials and tribulations endured. I experience this until the first sale of the afternoon, then it’s “Bad to the Bone,” when I become untouchable.
Then when work is finally over, as soon as I step out the door, “Black Betty” by Ram Jam starts up.
On nights when I stay in, “Loser” by Beck
On nights when I go out, “Push It” by Static-X plays uncontrollably loud between fits of yelling at the moon… until I hit the floor or decide to go home, which gives way to “For Those About to Rock, We Salute You” by AC/DC.
Love = “Crush” by Dave Matthews… although it sometimes yields “Spoon,” mentioned earlier.
While asleep… “Satellite” Dave Matthews Band. Repeat the CD of the day. However, one rainy Saturdays and Sundays I definitely feel “No Rain” or “Change” by Blind Melon or even “Polly” by Nirvana. Every once in a while I might hear a gospel song on Sunday… but I doubt it… mostly just, “that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”
