What would be your wedding song?
I am kinda leaning towards “I am the Highway” - Audioslave…
Not particularly romantic, but rather poignant…

I’d love to use “Love Stinks,” just for the entertainment valule of reactions, but will probably use “All I Ask of You” from The Phantom of the Opera musical.
Not that anyone would be stupid enough to marry me…
I believe (When I fall in love with you it will be forever)-Stevie Wonder
Come Away with Me: Norah Jones
Taps
I could not ask for more by Sarah Evans (yeah, its country)
I’ve always loved “Angel Eyes” by the Jeff Healey Band and “Forever For Tonight” by Blessid Union of Souls. Unfortunately, I wasted those on two exes.
“I Will” by The Beatles.
Well I’d vote for either
[li]Leave it up to her[/li]
or
[li]None[/li]
I might be a fuddy-dud
Stardust. I have a really beautiful version on my one CD by the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band.
Randy Travis’s Forever and Ever, Amen (but performed by a band, of course)
Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters. We’ve already decided on this.
“Hitler F***ed Your Grandma” by Brains For Sale, just to see the looks on everybody’s faces.
Being a bit of a romantic, I’ve rather leaned towards Meatloaf’s Heaven Can Wait, but the guy I nearly married was a fan of Meatloaf. If I do marry, it will depend on the fellow and the circumstances.
One word of warning, dantheman, I have a sense of humor and I like good brass. A person could come up with some interesting variations on Taps, perhaps a fugue, and some of them might even sound good!
CJ
Highway To Hell.
They guy who assumed that we were going to get married wanted to use Zevon’s Accidentally Like a Martyr.
Me, I’ve always leaned toward Paul Stookey’s Wedding Song (There is Love) or Marc Cohn’s True Companion.
Of course, I’ve got to meet the person I’m going to marry before this even becomes a factor.
By “wedding song” do you mean the song you dance to as your first dance as a married couple?
If you do - I have picked out my song: Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On”.
If you mean something else then I don’t know - I’m rather dense when it comes to weddings (so it’s probably a good things I’m not likely to get married).
As I wait for her at the altar? Handel’s ‘My heart is inditing’. As she comes up the aisle? I’m a traditionalist: no song, just music.
Van Morrison’s “Tupelo Honey.”
Ice Ice Baby
I like a nice piece of brass, myself. Fugue me, baby, fugue me.
(Come to think of it, I can’t picture an upbeat version of Taps…)
