I read this last night and almost decided to make my first Pit post ever. Executive summary: Some children are abused or neglected, therefore this book isn’t funny.
Presumably the part about her idiot source that merits his singling out as the greater shithead is where he actually trots out the old “Imagine this was written about Jews, blacks, Muslims, or Latinos.” Yep, apparently this satire is right on par with outright hatred for persecuted minorities.
Blacks and Latinos are lazy
Jews are all stingy and cheap
Muslims, of course, are all terrorists
Now please go the fuck to sleep.

I’d take exception to the Muslim line as well. I knew one once, and he said he wasn’t a terrorist. I mean, his skin was darker than mine, so there’s a good chance he was lying, but still…
