I swear, it’s now 11:15pm and I finally managed to get back on.
The way I figure it, all our Euorpean dopers have gone to bed, and the Aussies and the Kiwis are either still asleep or stumbling around looking for their morning coffee (or tea, you know how those people are).
This board has been totally jammed for the past hour. I blame you, California! It’s not quite 8:30pm there, so I’m sure you’re all browsing and posting willy-nilly.
Knock it off!!
I’ve got a crapload of great thoughts I want to share, but the board keeps timing out on me because you beach-loving sun-bunnies are hogging the server.
Take a hike.
[sub]Preceding post proudly presented by my evil twin. I will accept no blame.[/sub]
Hey, screw YOU! I’m sick to death of things being broadcast “Live!” to the EAST COAST. I’m tired of the east coast being the default for everything, jsut because they get there first!
Not to mention the fact that things like fat counters list weird ass East coast fast food and market products I’ve never friggin’ head of. “Sealtest”?? What kind of fucked up name is that? “Arther Treacher” Huh?
Yeah? Well who the hell is clogging up the board between 1-2 am, California-time? I’m a night-owl, and I swear that’s the worst time to try to get on. It can’t be all you friggin New Yorkers, unless you stay up ALL NIGHT, or get up really damn early. Who’s responsible?
blowero , the server goes down every night at 1:30 a.m. California time until 2:10 a.m. for backups. I know because I work nights (in Colorado) and must plan around the down time.
The East Coast always gets the news first, well, because we just do. And I have to get on first thing in the morning because that’s the only time I can get on the board, when all the West Coast guys are asleep.
It sucks, but hey, we already got the latest and greatest while you still sleep.
Come ON, coast-folks, arguing over which coast is better is just silly. You’re arguing over whether the left or right piece of wood on a picture-frame is better. They’re both equally boring. The important part is the picture inside.
And we get the news first because we’re in the future. You see, if it’s 9 pm in California, it’s already midnight here. And you should see the rocket packs we all have! And the moving sidewalks in the malls, and the flying cars, and the cities in the sky. Mmm.
