For those that have been married for 30 years or more

Today My Beloved(Rahne McCloud) and I celebrate our 30th Anniversary! We spent the weekend at The Benson Hotel, which is where we spent our honeymoon. The wonderful people there upgraded our room to a massive executive suite, and there were humongous chocolate covered strawberries and a chilled bottle of champagne there on the table when we walked in after dinner at El Gaucho Saturday night. If you and your Beloved are lucky enough to have been together 30 years or more, please tell how your 30th went.

Congrats! I’ve only been married 9 years, so I can’t contribute, but best wishes and good feelings!

Fifteen years here, but I wanted to wish you both a Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations and best wishes to both of you.

For our 30th, we went back to the same hotel where we spent our wedding night. We couldn’t get the same room, but we ordered lamb chops from room service, because at our wedding we spent so much time getting our pictures taken that when we got to the reception, the food was gone and all we got was cake. So on our wedding night we splurged and got room service.

Then we went to bed, and cuddled and drank champagne. And on our 30th I got the exact same feeling I did on our wedding night - this is right. This is where I want to be. This is The One.

Regards,
Shodan, 35 years and counting

33 years
on our 30th I took my wife here.

We couldn’t get away for too long so we took a 3 day trip to Branson, MO. On the way there we tried to stop at Lambert’s Cafe which is known for fried chicken (and a strange custom of throwing rolls around the room) but some tour buses arrived just before we did so we drove on to Branson and ate a late dinner at our hotel.

The Mrs. still had fried chicken on her mind so the next day we stopped at the restaurant shown in the picture. Actually had a very delicious fried chicken dinner.

Now we’re not rich people but we could very easily have taken a week long cruise and eaten at some very fine restaurants but this tourist trap was one fine experience.

We just celebrated our 29th, but I’m going to keep checking in here for good ideas! Congrats, Czarcasm!

Don’t remember but it wasn’t a big production. Probably just dinner out.

We ate here. We started with the crab cakes, which were excellent according to My Beloved(an expert on all things crab and/or cake). She had the Diver Sea Scallops and Grilled Prawn Linguine, and I had the chicken with mushroom and corn ragout. We shared a massively large Russet potato which the prepared at the table, cutting it into haves, fluffing it and adding all the condiments. It was expensive, but well worth it.

Conga-rats! SWMBO and I are coming up on 25.

Pepper Mill and I have been married 24 years as of last month. We spent it at her photography club’s annual end-of-season party. In the middle, a mysterious large package appeared on her chair. She unwrapped it to find another package within. Inside that was another package. Inside that…

…when she finally got to the tootsie roll center she found a tiny jewel box with a necklace with a charm in the shape of a rhodium-plated bohdran:

The 24th anniversary, you see, the Gods Of Modern Wedding Anniversaries have decided, requires the Gift of Musical Instruments. Pepper already has a real, life-sized bodhran, so I got her jewelry.

Upon further reflection, we had originally planned to spend the occasion in Florida, then decided to save the money and use it on moving there instead.

Congratulations! 5 years to go on our end…

Mazel Tov!

Best to you all. We’re at 23 years and my folks made it to 66 years!

22 and counting, but I’ll chime in with my congratulations!

It was a while ago, but I think we went to Florence, then Venice, then took an eastern Mediterranean cruise.

December will mark 34 years for us. And honestly, except for our 6th, when we did a reaffirmation of vows in front of family and friends (since we eloped and all) we never do much of anything on our anniversaries. My family was aghast that we mostly ignored our 25th, and I honestly don’t know that we did anything on our 30th, unless it fell during that brief span of years where we went to the Japanese Steak House on or around our anniversary.

It’s just never been a big deal for us.

Congratulations to you both! My husband and are are at 21 and counting.

Congrats. I know we went to Alaska for our 25th, but damned if I can recall doing anything special for 30. Not sure how I can ask her without stepping in it big time. Pretty sure next month is 32.

Congratulations -

26 here - we spend our anniverseries the same way we spent our wedding day - Beef and Cheddar combos at Arbies for lunch and a drive around town before heading home.

You blushing newlyweds!!

Just celebrated our 34th… on a driving trip with the adult kids. Not exactly romantic.

I actually don’t remember what we did for our 30th. For our 25th we had a big outdoor picnic. For our 31st, we went to (where else?) Baskin Robbins. For our 33 1/3rd we went to Disney World without the kids.
