Mixed is beautiful!
I worked in the day care center at a Navy base in California. We had kids of all races and mixtures. The two that stand out (after 20 years!) were a Philipino/Black and a Hispanic/Philipino. Both gorgeous, would have taken either of them in a minute.

Lola likes pasty white caucasians and I like women with mocha coloured skin and long black hair. We seem to be matched perfectly.
The greatest beauty comes from mixing it up, absolutely. Generally speaking, the more homogenous a people are, the less attractive overall. Spread the genes around, and you get some really gorgeous folk.
Makes sense - it is healthy and advantageous to spread the genes as widely apart as possible. that is what we are designed to do, and beauty is universally agreed to include a certain set of characteristics, which are mostly likely produced when you have a good mix of genes.
Put me down as one more for the “agree” column. It works with men, too. I knew a half-black, half-white guy who said he got lots of attention from hispanic women who thought he was Puerto Rican. I also knew an (Asian) Indian guy who shaved his head smooth and started getting all kinds of attention from black women.
I agree that hispanic women are some of the most attractive around, but I think it has to do with diet and lifestyle as much as anything.
And on the subject of mixing the races, I think it works because these people don’t have very strong features in general. Their faces have a more muted look that could be construed as anything. Therefore, people tend to construe them into that which they like.

Well I just happened to be looking at the People Pages and I got updated, so my pic is actually listed under the Cyndar name now. Looking at the pic, I think I need to send in a new one. I’m about 13 pounds thinner now and my hair is shorter. The general look is still the same though.

Based on the first photo, this is probably because you have toughened them up by keeping them in cages. A brilliant parenting strategy, actually.

as a person of mixed-race heritage, i felt i had to lend some comment to the proceedings. but honestly, this “debate” isn’t really inspiring me. the quote above is amusing to me, however.
i hate to break it to you white folks, but the world already is overwhelmingly composed of brown people. whether or not you all choose to have sex with us isn’t really the revolutionary idea that some people make it out to be. race mixing may be a novel idea in America because we’ve been (mis)led into believing that it’s new, forbidden, or unknown, but the worldwide evidence is pretty clear.

glad to see standards of beauty expanding a bit–not happy about the possibilities of being fetishized. trust me, i’ve met more than my share of not-attractive mixed people in my day.
oh, and ** Cyndar **, nothing breaks my heart more than women of color with low self-esteem. don’t know if you were just trying to be humble, but you’re much cuter than “average-looking.”

Thanks for the compliments. I am not being hard on myself, just honest. I think I am a pretty average looking person. Men don’t turn around to look at me a second time, but I don’t think I’m making anyone vomit either.

I agree, mixed people often result in very attractive results. I dont agree that all latinos make the most stunning people. I’ve seen some pretty bad looking Latinos as well as some very stunning ones.
As to my family, my older brother got the dark hair and skin of our Filipino father, but he got the hazel eyes from my mom’s side (general white). Mom says I look a little more like the german side of her family. My twin looks a little more like the Filipino side, and my older bro more towards the welsh side of the family, but we all got features from both sides. Everyone comments on how attractive we’ve all grown up to be (and from the remarks i get from people who see my pic, it supports that). Usually people think i’m Latino. But, one lady swore I was Hawaiian (Not pure blood hawaiian, but mixed race hawaiian).
In HS most of my friends were mixed. While some were average, i cant recall anyone who was ugly. One of my friends was half black, half korean and she had those pretty korean eyes, but her skin and hair were more her black side. She wasnt at all skinny, but i would say she was pretty. Same with all the other mixed kids I knew. I’m not usually into asian guys, but there was this one guy who was half filipino/vietnamese and I found him attractive. I usually found myself attracted to the more mixed Latinos, and the half and half guys. Of Europeans, i find Southern Italians, and Spaniards to be the most attractive.
