A quick poll of physical attraction. Generally, what type of person are you most attracted to?
I’ve added a category “Other” for people that you consider not fitting into the other categories. For example, people from India, the Middle East, Inuit, etc.
I tend to find Asian guys attractive. I’ve never lived in an area with a large Asian population though so have only dated a couple. I’ve been attracted to people of all races, and can honestly say that race isn’t a huge deciding factor in my mate choices. The important thing is that they are compatible with my eccentricities.
I’m married to a white man, so since this isn’t multiple choice. Otherwise, those Latina girls would be getting some love from me… er… I’d vote for them…
I can’t pick just one ‘race’ although I strongly prefer dark-haired, darker-skinned men with features usually considered ‘ethnic’. I can think of two men I found devastatingly attractive at first glance, one happened to be Asian (Japanese I’m pretty sure) and the other Latino, but I’ve found many men of a variety of racial and ethnic groups physically attractive. Just not those that look like me - my family and I are typical WASPs, pale, freckly, blond and red hair, little noses.
I voted “Hispanic female,” although “Caucasian female” would be a virtual tie. I’m married to a member of the former. And, aren’t “Hispanics” considered “Caucasian”? I seem to remember that government forms these days ask for “non-Caucasian Hispanics” or something like that.
For some reason I was, at an early age, imprinted like a duckling to be attracted to Caucasian blue eyed blond men. Set me up with Alexander Skarsgard, Sting, or the young Peter O’Toole :D. This, of course, is not carved in stone, I AM flexible. I’ve dated outside my parameters and can only say both nice guys and jerks come in all flavors.
It’s more a body type for me. I mean, for attraction I’d actually act upon it requires intellect. But for sheer, animal, head turning quotient; Tall, broad shouldered, and confident posture. Extra points for red hair, but it’s not required. Michael Dorn, Vin Diesel, Mark Mcguire, Cary Grant. I think the key is broad shoulders, 'cause Vin’s really not all that tall.
It’s all about the forearms - I had to choose “other” when I meant “all”. I mean, you’ve got short hairy Caucasian guys and tall willowly Hispanics, there’s no typical type in any of the choices.
I’ve only ever been in serious relationships with white guys, though in college I dated a bunch of Koreans. Race isn’t a huge factor for me - I’ve found men of all races attractive - but the majority of guys I’ve been attracted to have been white (although . . . the majority of people I am around with are white as well; unavoidable when you teach English in Korea).
Jeez, why wasn’t this multi-choice? My preference for males is brown. Race doesn’t really matter, just have brown skin, dark eyes and black hair. Curly hair for bonus points. Of course none of this really matters if you find someone cute or cool enough. The guy who I currently have a crush on that is practically eating me alive has green eyes and sandy brown hair. Go figure.
I’m torn between Caucasian and Asian. Per capita, there seem to be more attractive Asians, but, give me a red head with a proportionally smaller butt, milky white skin with just a few freckles, long-ish/skinny legs, and moderate breasts, and I’d be willing to not look at any Asians again.
And then there are the darker skinned Caucasians that I always had crushes on in school. Yeah, I’m going to have to go with Caucasian.
I tend to like Hispanic males, though I tend to be drawn to any reasonably attractive male. My preference is for midrange skin tones, not too dark or too light, and I tend to be turned off by circumcision, which eliminates a lot of caucasian Americans.
Although I’m physically attracted to Indian guys, our personalities tend to clash for some reason. Although I tend not to be attracted to Filipinos or Thai guys, they seem to love me for some reason.
Other - I prefer men that are around 1.7m, a bit of muscle definition is always nice but not essential. Skin, hair and eye colour doesn’t really matter.
