For those who live in the US: What your state is best and worst at.

I found these interesting.
If you live in the USA, here’s what your state does best with.

And here’s what it’s worst at.

So Arizona may have the most people suffering from alcoholism…but at least they’re doing it on nice, sunny days!

Minnesota: Worst at tornadoes. Living in Minneapolis, this really rings true.

I like how Ohio’s claim-to-shame is nerdiness. Really?

Mass does best in College Grads and worst in drivers. Correlation?

Does being “worst” in bestiality mean we have the most or the least?

Or we’re just very good at it?

Michigan:

Making cars and making cars.

Hunters and Arson.
I’m actually kind of pleased by those. That Pennsylvania’s positive thing is shooting things, and its negative thing is setting them on fire. At least it’s consistent.

Maine has a ‘dumb’ problem.

Best at: Highest library usage.

Is there a correlation?

What does nerdiest mean anyways? Ohioans get beat up for their lunch money by Indiana? We read a lot of books? High number of adults living in their parent’s basement dressed in Star Trek uniforms?

Colorado -

Lowest Obesity.

Highest Cocaine use. :dubious:

Maybe it was based on how people answered some kind of poll asking “Would you consider yourself nerdy?”

Kentucky: We are the best armed state, but have the most cancer deaths.

California

Best at: growing/distributing weed

Worst at: not being broke

Oy, we’re the irresponsible teenage child of America.

Interesting to see that Washington is worst at bestiality. Sheep fuckers!

Texas: Best in wind power production. Well, of course. Have you heard our politicians speak?

Worst in high school graduation. And damn proud of it.

Did anyone notice that North Dakota allegedly has the ugliest residents? How on earth would you quantify that???

I’m trying to figure out by what metric Minnesota is worst at tornadoes.

You guys need to invent a cancer gun.

Well, I’m from Ohio, so that’s consistent.

I’m a bit surprised, as I had heard that Montana had the highest life expectancy, but that says it’s Hawaii. We’re certainly a very healthy state, in any event. I credit all the outdoor activities and exercise, as well as a very low smoking rate.

According to Wikipedia, Montana is 29th.
