I know it won’t be of much interest to many dopers, but the guy was a legend here. RIP to Jerry and his wife: best wishes to their daughter Ayla who survived but is in hospital.
Yes his death is a total shock. And his wife too. Just awful. It sounds like the baby is in a serious condition.
Jerry was a legend, he’d flatten them like a tank and then tend them like a mother hen. Tough as they make them, but he never needed to play dirty. He’ll be sadly missed. RIP, Jerry, there’ll be tears in Porirua tonight.
Very sad news. I thought he was older than 34, it feels like he left the All Blacks a long time ago.
How awful for the families and the poor little baby.
