The Foundation for a Better Life has been running ads on TV lately, which seem fairly honest and sincere. I don’t have any problems with the commercials I’ve seen, but I have an inherent distrust for the motivations behind the type of organization that would run that sort of commercial.
Does anyone know who is behind them? The website doesn’t say, as far as I can find. A whois yeilds “Anschutz Corp” (555 17th St Suite 2400, Denver, Co 80209 PH:303 298 1000 FAX:303 298 8881) as the domain registrant, and the admin, tech, and billing all go to a guy named Steve Slawson with a tac-denver.com e-mail address. tac-denver.com doesn’t appear to have a webserver (I just put it into a browser, I didn’t portscan them), but also happens to be owned by Anschutz.
So, anyone heard of them or who is behind them? Anyone want to call up Anschutz or Mr. Slawson, or even stop by sometime? I bet ‘Suite 2400’ is a mail drop, though.
