No.
I found the comment “they had it coming” to be an ill-advised one, that made little sense other than to be deliberately provocative. Back-pedal or parse it all you like Diogenes the Cynic; It was a crappy statement to make, and was not simply a speculation that perhaps the cops were involved with the underworld in some fashion
I didn’t say they “had it coming,” and yes it was simply speculation.
I’m so sorry. I happened to see the procession as they drove the bodies to the ME’s office last night. People were lined up on the streets in silent support of these officers and their comrades. Really, it brought tears to my eyes.
At any rate, they still haven’t found the shooter. They thought they had and spent close to twelve hours surrounding a house they thought contained their “person of interest”, but the house was empty. They’re now searching the surrounding homes.
I’m going to try and stay out the whole political slant on this thread. Frankly, I’m just too angry to articulate anything that makes sense. I’m angry at the shooter, I’m angry he hasn’t been caught, I’m angry at the senseless and sick comments I’ve been reading on our local news sites and in our local paper.
That’s hair splitting, you dipshit.
You wrote “how do you know they didn’t have it coming”.
And regardless of your intent, it’s a bullshit comment because if ALL those cops were dirty (a fact not in evidence) they didn’t have it coming.
You’re a useless sack of shit.
I’m sorry. You said:
So you did not state it directly, you posed a question. This a the technique that is used frequently by FOX news, and is one that I hate.
You didn’t speculate on anything. You simply hung that disgusting question out there like a smelly fart.
Where the fuck do you get this from? Go on, tell me what percentage of the population indulge in this kind of behaviour?
In context, it was a facetiously phrased question in response to a ridiculously hyperbolic series of posts from another poster. It was also a legitimate point of speculation to wonder if they had some kind of criminal involvement since law enforcement investigators had said the choice of victims was not random.
It isn’t a legitimate point of speculation. Even if the cops were dirty (and for fuck’s sake, how many times do I need to repeat it), the did not have this coming.
You sniveling twatwaffle.
Nice try.
It wasn’t facetiously phrased. You didn’t reference the other posters hyperbole - I did take issue with that particular posters hyperbole, and referenced it. It wasn’t speculation, it was a poorly phrased, rhetorical “FOX News” question.
As I said, you wafted it out like a stinky fart, and now you’re pretending to be surprised that people smelled it. Calling the fart “a waft of delicious perfume” does not make it so.
It is absolutely a legitimate point of speculation. Sorry. And I didn’t say they had it coming, but there are conceivable scenarios where one could conclude something like that.
Plus, you can’t divorce my post from its context, which was as a facetious response to a serious of absurd, hyper-outraged declarations by another poster.
Yes I did. I specifically addressed that post to the poster in question. Even that poster agreed that it was a legitimate point of speculation, which it was.
If your intent was to legitimately pose speculation about the motives of the shooter, I award you the FOX news phrasing award.
I hope you will extend the benefit of the doubt to the next poster who writes something along the lines of “Does Obama really want the country to fail?” After all, it’s just a speculative question.
Absolutely.
I don’t purport to be a news organization, by the way.
No matter how many times you explain your alleged joke, it’s not going to become funny, so shut the fuck about it, already. Your extended justifications are even lamer than the original quip-attempt.
Diogenes the Cynic, my information comes from the WSP spokesperson on all of the local TV networks. The news has been continious since it happened. There has been lots of information that the national networks would necessarily think pertinent.
The victims were all local LEOs from a small community named Lakewood. Lakewood has only had their own PD for a few years. It has a reputation for being a crime-ridden, violent area.
The coffee shop is in Parkland another small community that borders two other jurisdictions. So it’s a meeting place for the various cop shops. The shop itself is owned by an officer. It was considered a safe place for them to gather before or after shift.
I feel sorry for you. You seem to have a lot of misplaced anger. I wish you peace.
I’m not the one who keeps wanting to talk about it.
Well, then be a man and just admit you love the attention like the troll you’ve always been, and that’s all I have to say on the matter.
This is a person who has no way of knowing what the motive was, and, in fact, doesn’t even know who the shooter was.
Swing and a miss. I’m as happy as a pig in shit. No anger here. Perhaps you’re confusing me with the poster who wants Mike Huckabee to blow his own brains out?
Enjoy your smug judgementalism, though. I hope that works out for you.
Please cite some sources we can see for ourselves. I’m having a hard time believing any official spokesperson would speculate on motive at this point. If they are, they’re being foolish.
