Seems the pledge has been taken for me. Cablevision and FOX are in a dispute, so I don’t get it. Pissed that I can’t see the Giants and, if this isn’t settled quickly enough, I might miss the World Series. Gonna really piss me off if the Yanks make it.
And I don’t watch ABC. I’m comfortable sticking with my plan of not watching FOX News (and removing it from my channel lineup, so that even when I flip through the channels, it doesn’t appear), not so much to send a message to NewsCorp as because it’s just so painful and depressing to watch.
I have no intention of giving up House.
Yes. (If you think someone’s breaking the rules, consider reporting the post.)
sinjin, if you want to discuss why you’re boycotting Fox or the reasons someone might stop watching a TV network on principle, go ahead. But this isn’t a place for recruiting.
I got rid of cable TV about a year ago for financial reasons. I don’t miss Fox News. I also don’t miss MSNBC or CNN. I really don’t miss any network shoving their views into my face.
I miss Fox Sports (Milwaukee Brewers or Bucks games) a bit, but not as much as I thought I would.
Boycotts are stupid? But Fox turning off the baseball playoffs and World Series to force a huge price raise is good?
