Frank (Electrical Contractor) on Holmes on Homes died

Frank started on the first episode of Holmes on Homes and appeared in all Mike’s other shows.

DIY’ers usually tie into the house’s electrical. Frank often had to replace the panel to eliminate overloaded circuits and rewire some or all of the house. That’s several thousand dollars of donated work.

His last appearance was on Holmes Family Rescue. Mike fixed up Franks and his adult daughters home. He was obviously ill and couldn’t even rewire his own home. His daughters were also his caretakers.

Frank had two liver transplants since 2017.
Died at 64.

RIP

“Frank made us better,” Holmes wrote in a beautiful tribute. “His impact will live on in every home he helped. Frank could walk into the toughest electrical disaster, crack a joke in his style, and suddenly the whole room felt lighter. That’s just who he was. Frank wasn’t just good at what he did — he really cared. He cared about doing it right. He cared about the people he worked with. He cared about every homeowner he helped. Frank will forever be part of the Holmes family. Miss you buddy.”

Mike Holmes said in a video that when the show started he told Frank he didn’t have a budget to pay him. Frank didn’t mind. He believed in what Holmes was doing.

There are only two plus renovation shows worth watching; This Old House/Ask This Old House and anything done by Mike Holmes. The rest are just renovation porn.

RIP, Frank.

Frank was the most consistent contractor that worked on Mike’s renovations.

He used several plumbers and Hvac contractors over the last 20 years.

The contractors benefit from being shown working professionally and caring about the customers.

Local customers probably lined up wanting Frank’s company to fix their electrical or Martin’s company for plumbing.

Frank always went above and beyond. I’ve never seen a panel wired with a board behind it to neatly route every wire. That was a lot of small holes to drill.
