At least according to that esteemed rag, The New Yawk Post. Other than the obligatory lie that the action is all about CO2 removal, the article is simply misleading. The rule has been in effect since 2016 and focuses on particulate emissions, not CO2. It also applies to all commercial kitchens with a bigger impact on BBQ joints. Most places have already installed the particulate scrubbers (not an insubstantial cost to be accurate).

This is my typical work wear. Plenty of other “active” people I work with wear their running or hiking shoes with business wear. Of course, we live in an area where it is very accepted.
Glad to get the confirmation. I was getting nervous that people might’ve been looking down their noses at me! The biggest problem was not being able to tuck in my napkin…those wings are messy!
The last funeral I attended (~1 year ago) I really did honestly wear surfer trunks, beach / water shoes, and a loud beach shirt. I did wear my mankini as undies under my board shorts.
This was at the request of the ~75yo decedent who wanted a beach-themed funeral. He lived in or on the water his whole life while wearing shorts & Hawaiian shirts and that’s how he wanted his send-off to go.
I don’t own any actual Hawaiian print shirts, but I’ve got stuff close enough so that’s what I wore. About 200 guests and very few suits & ties or long dresses with tall shoes. And all on the elderly. Most men were dressed as I was. Many, many bikinis or one-pieces under coverups were in evidence. On ages teens to 60s. Coastal Florida is not like other places.
This was one of the more fun funerals I’ve ever attended. Don was a fun guy.
