This is an extremely scarce stone lithograph by the renowned Alaskan artist, Fred Machetanz, called "The Stalk". Machetanz was best known for his accurate portrayals of the village life of Alaska Natives. His stone lithos were an issue of 100 each; there are only two known complete collections in the world. The linked photo is a scan from a printed source. The actual litho is sharper, and is matted and framed. These routinely sell to collectors from $3,000-$5,000, but I need to reduce the bulk in my closet so will let it go for $1800 (and I’ll pay shipping).
