Fred Phelps declines dose of his own medicine

(Didn’t see a thread on this. Color me surprised.)

So, some veterans trucked off to Topeka to attend Phred’s service and make a counter demonstration. Shockingly, they were not allowed to attend, so they went ahead and set up out in the street.

Story here.

These guys may be on to something. Clog up the street in front of his church and give him all the publicity he can swallow. Or, I don’t know, maybe the vast majority of Topekans are sick of him.

The vast majority of Topekans have been sick of him for quite some time.

I actually had my hopes up that Fred Phelps had died and veterans were turned away from protesting (celebrating?) at his funeral. Not dead yet.

I’m amazed the town hasn’t rebelled at a level and volume that would have annoyed Satan himself.

Well done, Mr. Bacidore and friends!

Well done, indeed!

Surprised that Anonymous hadn’t done this one yet. Nice story.

Yes, how disrespectful it would be to make a scene at a religious event like a church service or, oh I dunno, a funeral…

When he does die, the protest at his funeral will be fabulous!

I’m amazed at this item:

What’s so wrong about announcing your church attendance?

It would have been better if he hadn’t announced his intentions in the newspaper, so that he could have actually gone in (with video cameras) and recorded how the church handled him. It probably doesn’t matter since they would have found a way to keep him out anyway.

Hypocritical bastards that they are.

I can definately second this.

I live close enough to Topeka that, if I can, I will attend any protest that may happen upon his death. I’m looking forward to it.

I’m not that far away, six hours, give or take. Give me a couple days warning and I’ll show up with a tanker truck of wee for his gravesite and any mourners foolish enough to stand their ground.

A tanker truck of semen would be better

I will pledge a quart towards this effort. Anyone else care to contribute?

That’s greatly appreciated but I suspect I’d rather have a contribution to my legal defense fund. As many lawyers as there are in their group, I suspect they may have something to say about my actions.

I could muster something towards the defense fund if necessary, but it would have been more fun drinking some beer, and thinking how the end result would have been used…

Don’t forget that Phelps prefers his medicine in suppository form.

I will pledge a quart to this effort :stuck_out_tongue:

Someone’s gonna be sore in the morning!!!
