Free/cheap address book/label software

My (somewhat computer literate) mother likes to use her computer to print out mailing labels for her Christmas cards, and thinks of that sort. She had a piece of software that I bought and set up for her 5 or 6 years ago (A-book by Xeletrix) that she happily used on her old computer. But now she’s gotten a new computer, and Xeletrix doesn’t seem to actually still exist (their website lies and claims they do), so we can’t figure out how to get A-Book running on her new PC without an activation code that we don’t have, despite the fact that we paid for it.

So… anyone have a recommendation for software that does basically that type of thing? I had thought that she should put her addresses into her contacts on google mail, but I couldn’t find a way to take google mail contacts and (for instance) print out subsets of them on mailing labels, or anything like that.
This is well-reviewed on Amazon, but $30 seems like more than one ought to pay for software of this sort… but I guess that can be a fall-back position if nothing else.
Ease of use is definitely paramount here.

Thanks!

If I understand your question, you can do that through Microsoft Word using the “Mailings” menu.

Failing that, you can find just about any software you want (usually for free) at download.cnet.com.
