I need a simple address and shipping label software for my mac 9x. Avery doesn’t seem to have any. My Appleworks label assistant is hiding from me.
Suggestions, please…
Peace,

I found this download @ Pay and Play, and tried their demo. It’s easy to use, but costs $30.
try www.versiontracker.com. There’s a couple pages of label programs for MacOS
You want to print individual labels, or print up those sheets of crack-and-peel?
For the sheets of crack-and-peel, it’s Yet Another Job for FileMaker. Other sw will do it but why the heck not get FileMaker? It beats the pants off AppleWorks. In the mean time, if your Labels Assistant is on the blink, create a new regular layout in the AppleWorks database and then specify “Labels” as the type and select your label type from the dropdown list. It’s pretty much as easy as that Labels Assistant and since it’s not a separate subprogram it’s less likely to disappear on you.
For individual labels, you should be using a Dymo thermal labelprinter to begin with, and the things come with perfectly good software for individual labelprinting (although I prefer to make my own in FileMaker for indiv labels as well).
Here’s an easy suggestion
Download the Palm Desktop software for Mac OS9
It’s free, you DON’T need a PDA to use it, it runs just fine as a stand alone piece of software and handles all of your label printing needs from its Contact List.
Thanks for the opinions and help. I decided to go for the High Priced Spread (the LPP6), simply because I like the way it works. And it does exactly what I want.
I couldn’t see anything in my Palm software about labels, but I just saw another thread about the subject, so I’ll have a look.
