Huh?
I read that they are delaying the promotion because they can’t deal with the response right now. That is, the free chicken is still going to happen, just later after they get their shit together.

I know there was a story on the news last night - several KFCs around here closed their doors because they were completely out of chicken. I’m assuming they were just handing out whatever people wanted when they ran out of the grilled.
That’s going to be a real taste sensation, y’bet.
I’ve heard of Chicken 'N Waffles, but…
Has Oprah said anything about this? If nothing else, she must be very aware of her power now…she managed to make a major fast food chain cry like a little girl in about two days.

Don’t forget to jump through the burning hoop and bark three times at the end while bowing. Then you can get a biscuit and meat treat.
What a clusterfuck. If I were KFC’s CEO, heads would roll. The latest from CNN.com: Oprah coupon craze leaves KFC customers hungry for more - CNN.com
But only after being confined to teeny tiny rusty cages stacked several high and after having their lips removed, all as a good PR gesture to PETA.
We got 3 coupons and headed over to KFC. I have not eaten there for years and was interested to give them a try again.
The line was huge- cars were blocking the street and the line was to the door. When we ordered we were told that we could have no choice in side dishes and that the next chicken would be available in 8 minutes. About 2 minutes later, we were handed our meals and receipt for $17.00 and headed home. They forgot to both charge us and provide the drinks we ordered, but we were happy to just get out of there.
At home, we found we had 7 chicken wings and one breast amongst the three meals (and, of course the side dishes, etc.).
The grilled chicken tasted OK, but overall the whole thing was kind of disappointing. The meals and drinks would have cost about $7.25 ot $7.50 per person and the portions of corn and mashed potato were small. It would not seem to be a very good value to me had I paid the regular price.
I do appreciate the freebie, but it just reminded me of why we don’t eat there.
