Free Geek Junk To NY Area (Comics, MTG, minatures, books)

Look, I’ve got too much junk. Way, way too much junk. Comes from having worked in a comic book store. And being a packrat.
Comic books. Longboxes on longboxes of comics. 90s-2010 or so. Anyone want some?

Magic cards: Yeah, Ender said he’d take them, but I have those five-tray boxes, and I used to have about six feet of them. Over a hundred pounds, you know? I’ve gotten rid of some, but I think the best are still around. 3rd/Ice Age to 5th/Weatherlight/Visions era.

Minatures games: Warhammer 40k. MW: Dark Age. (Yeah, well, if you want to kitbash, it’s good for parts)
Gundam models. 1/100, HGUC, mostly. Want some? Again, good for kitbashing other things with.

Computer parts of all shapes and sizes.

Help me clean out my apartment. I can’t donate this stuff, most of it qualifies as potentially lethal to small children. And I can’t throw it away because… well, I just can’t.

Oh. And books. Lots of books. Free to good home. No used book stores in driving distance that’d take them, I think.

What 40K stuff do you have and in what condition?

Ditto on the 40K stuff. Not in NY but will be driving by on the holidays

Well, I want to keep my Tau. But I have about… provided my unwelcome former roomie didn’t steal it all, about 4000 points of Blood Angels. The red guys who go faster, in various conditions from unbuilt to built and painted to museum quality. I can check.

Also some Harlequins.

And a lot of stuff you can use to customize any 40k figure.

Eh, if you want to give some money up, I’ll sell the Tau, too. Bout, I dunno, 8000 points of Tau. Some Forgeworld stuff.

If only I lived near NY. There’s almost nothing you mentioned that I wouldn’t take.

Okay, they’ve got dibs on the 40K.

Dibs on the 401K!

When you say “NY Area” do you mean near NYC?

I was going to ask… where exactly do you mean when you say “NY area”?

My location has always been ‘Up The River’. Which is where you get sent. Eg, Sing-Sing. Ossining.

Well, Pleasantville, these days. North of White Plains a bit.

Looks like it’s just out of my drive range-- but here’s hoping the Blood Angels will find a home that will properly revenge Sanguinius.

Tell me more about the books. Feel free to do a PM if you’d prefer not to dump it all in this thread. Your choice.

Eh, four-ten Xerox boxes full of tatty paperbacks, mostly cheap sci-fi of the very best kind, ranging from 1960 to 2010. Plus some books about how to swear in Japanese. I admit, I may arbitrarially decide not to give certain books up, but they’re eating me out of house and home.

(Note: said books were printed between 1960 and 2010. They were written anywhere between 500 AD and 2010. Some in alternate universes. But you can’t have my Kilgore Trout.)

Bugger. A 7 hour drive is just a bit outside what is really possible for me to pull off. I think.

Will let you know.

I’m in the area, in harrison, and saw this post today prompting me to register. I am willing to take any of the comics your trying to part with, I am someone who has been interested in collecting comics for a long time and have never found a good place to start. Private message me and we can work something out. Thanks

I have 125,000-140,000 MtG cards myself but only through 4E and Homelands. God help me but I think I might be interested in your cards from after those sets - Visions? Weatherlight? Whuzzat? I assume these are culled of interesting Rares or Uncommons though, right?

I’d offer you something in return but alas, my hoard is similar to your hoard in content.

What we need is some kind of hobbit burglar to help us out here…

Oh, I don’t think it’s culled. No, I don’t think it’s culled at all. Sure, when can you swing by?

Robardin has now a good portion of my collectable card games. I feel kind of bad about the four boxes I threw out. (well. Placed out on Big Trash Day, they were gone before the trash guy showed).

Comics. Miniature games. Books. All available!

Yeah, thanks E-Sabbath! And my kids are super excited about the Pokemon cards too

Tell me about the books and comics…
