Free internet services--how do you rate them?

I’ve had a couple of people ask me lately if any of the free internet service providers are any good. Since I’ve always been a schmuck and shelled out good money for my internet services when I could’ve done it for free, I didn’t know the answer.

So, do any of you guys use a free service provider (i.e.: Juno, NetZero, etc…)? Any quirks worth mentioning or horrible bugs that popped up? I know–you get what you pay for, so I don’t have any great expectations here.
