Free or V. Cheap Fax Software-Recommendations, Please?

I know there are various fax-sending software things out there, but it seems wiser to ask whether anyone has any broad recommendations, because, otherwise, with my luck, I would certainly happen to pick on something that would ruin my computer.

It should be something that is not too greedy about space, as it is an old computer and has only 5.9 GB total space on hard disk and is damn near full. It is Pentium III, 447 Mhz , 256MB RAM, although I somehow think (perhaps wrongly) that fax software ought not to need too much of anything.

Comp runs Windows XP and I am using Firefox. And I am in the U.K., if that makes a difference.

I’d be grateful if anyone can recommend something to try. OR, just as pertinently, tell me what to avoid. :slight_smile:

Rats! :smack: This really should be in IMHO. Sorry, I think it went here, because in my little head it was a “question” I will try to have it moved, but if someone would please report it to have it moved, that could work too. :smack:
