My needs are very simple: I want a program that I can run on my PC (which runs Windows) that will run all day and answer the phone like a fax machine and let me print out the faxes on a laser printer. Money is a concern too.
Any suggestions?
And by the way - I don’t need other features such as sending faxes.
If youre using windows it comes with an inbuilt fax client that does precisely that. You can activate it from control panel, but how precisely depends on your version of windows.
Ive used it a few times at home when people have needed to send me a fax and its worked without fault. My dad uses it in an emergency at his office as well, and sometmes it experiences sync problems. I guess its a YMMV thing, but you do have a free client right on hand that does everything that you want.
