This article gives a pretty thorough description of the different areas in the game, with contributions from the game’s art director and a couple of developers:
There are even videos to show you. It’s a geographical tour, not very spoilery if you’re worried about that.
In my opinion it’s a very diverse exploration of various kinds of wasteland.
I got that one free a few years ago, it’s a really good entry and fantastic world. I love the claustrophobic Victorian feel and swapping between the siblings with their particular specialties.
Yeah I never really paid attention to Asscreed Syndicate but I was very impressed by it. The look and feel is great, I love the outfits and the London buildings. I like gradually taking back London, sorta like Paris in The Saboteur.
Fanatical is giving away Desolate, a FPS survival horror game. It’s sort of a mix of STALKER and Half-Life. But from the little I played it isn’t as good as either. Still, not a bad looking game and supports online co-op. It’s something different.
Actually this happens a lot, the Half-Life option mentioned upthread was the same. Often (not always) someone will release free copies limited to X-number which generates buzz for old and new games. My feeling is, well, still better than our recent and well-justified rants about “Doorbuster” deals on Black Friday.
But yeah, I clicked within 5 minutes of your post and they were already sold out. Hurts less when you’re losing something free at least, and didn’t stand in line hours for it!
Head 2 Head is a side view fighting game (think Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc) that is currently free in Early Access but soon to be released with a price tag. Those who claim it now will keep it for free.
Now that Early Access is ending, and we have added a significant amount of new content to the game, we are releasing Head 2 Head at $14.99. Don’t worry, for anyone who has already obtained Head 2 Head for free in Early Access, you will keep the game and all of your progress for free.
