What in the Nine Hells is this? I dunno, some 99¢ game that released in 2024 and has… two reviews. They’re both positive though so get acclaimed 100% Positive Rated “Nine Hells” for free until April 20th. Then you’ll need to pay a buck.
Indiegala also has weekly giveaways on obscure indie titles. Except they have a raffle system called “giveaways”, and the actual giveaways are called freebies.

Three more janky Steam titles. I almost wouldn’t post these but then I see that they get clicks so I guess there’s demand. Or curiosity. In descending order of positive reviews, it’s Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager (April 23rd), Stickman Killing Zombie (April 19) and Uncanny Tales: Cold Road (April 20th)
Epic this week:
The Stone of Madness, real-time tactical stealth.
Wasteland Remastered free. Grab it quickly, you only have to September 1! Once claimed you can install it from the Microsoft Store in Library (icon bottom left corner).
I’m confused… That’s a link to a Game Pass game. It’s not free to own, just free to play for Game Pass members. Nothing on that page suggests that it’s any different from a regular Game Pass game.
It’s cool that it’s on Game Pass (I have a membership) as I loved it when I played it on DOS last century. I’ll play the remastered version for sure.
Worst case scenario, Wasteland Remastered is on a Steam Sale for $5.24 US (65% off) through April 29, 2026. Or if you’re seriously retro (and a glutton for punishment) the OG version is similarly on sale for $1.07
Be afraid, be very afraid.
I swear I could claim it shortly before I posted on the thread, and it’s in my MS Store library as acquired this-and-that-date. I can install it but when I try to run it I’m told to buy it or renew gamepass.
I got the link from a reddit thread. There’s some later posts wondering if the price was some error that was fixed, because it seems all people who claimed it had it revoked.
I installed it on my Xbox and I’ll check it out anyway. ![]()
Assorted cheapo Steam nonsense turned into free Steam nonsense. First one expires noon CST tomorrow, the other until the 25th
Even more Steam freebies. Noctural is a “Two hour action platformer” which seems pretty brief for a $16.99 price tag but works great for free (ends April 26). Aeonic is a… choose your own adventure Civ game thing? Also it includes some AI generated images so, if that’s a thing to you, now know. Free until April 29th.
One more, a suspense game that has some good reviews. Free until the 27th:
Epic this week:
Doomblade, 2D Metroidvania
Epic this week:
Firestone, Idle Clicker Online RPG.
Looks like it’s always free w/in-app purchases but they seem to be running a deal where you get a bunch of normally purchased stuff for free.
Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure, an automation game w/real-time strategy elements.
Living Battle is currently free and looks like the project of a first year coding student who is hoping his teacher never heard of GTA. $15.99 base price for this is insane but it can be yours for free until May 12 if that’s a thing you want.
It has 3 reviews. 2 negative, the positive one said:
its hard to make a game this bad
I guess that reviewer respected the effort it took to make it so awful.
It’s just evidence of the fact that Steam has zero quality control whatsoever.
That seems actually awful. I mean, really really awful. I’m not sure how anyone could make something that bad.
It’s not even cool bad. It’s just bad. Even free it is not worth it.
YMMV
I won’t argue your assessment but I figure you all can decide when to click the “Add” button or not ![]()
They used to have Project Greenlight and all that but eventually (seemingly) decided that that’s what the return window is for.
If nothing else, it was amusing to look at.
