Free PC game and free weekend notification thread

So it’ll be an indie pixel game.

Rinky-dink game Galaxium is free on Steam until around noon (CST) tomorrow. Cheap even when not free but, hey, still free.

Not a game but GOG is giving away a free Witcher goodies pack:

I claimed it, but is there any way to tell what is in these (4+GB) goodie packs before I download them?

Yes. From here:

  • Video Game Show — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Concert (720p)
  • Video Game Show — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Concert (Dvd)
  • Video Game Show — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Concert (1080p)
  • Video Game Show — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Concert (4K)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Goodie Pack
  • Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales - Goodie Pack
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (Polish)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (French)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (Spanish)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (Italian)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (Russian)
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game Of The Year Edition - Bonus Pack (German)
  • The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - Goodie Pack (1)
  • The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - Goodie Pack (2)
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition - Goodie Pack (1)
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition - Goodie Pack (2)
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition - Wallpapers

I’m not sure what all of that includes.

Thanks, it was the specific goodie packs in the goodie bundle I was wondering about. I guess I’ll just grab Witcher 3’s and see what it is.

FYI, if you liked Titanfall 2 but it was still a little too pricey for your taste, you can get it for 6 bucks on the Humble Store:

Free Epic game is NBA 2K21 which I would have kept a secret too. Next week is another secret but hard to get excited about it following this reveal

Also, you can log in and get a $10 coupon which hopefully foretells the return of the rolling $10 coupon sale.

Hey, that’s not bad for a free game. I’m not a huge fan, but definitely claimed it. It gave me a $10 coupon like you said and I bet it renews if you buy something.

That makes Cyberpunk 2077 $37. I found the PC version not too buggy and that is pretty worth it. Easily 35 hours of gameplay, even more if you do a lot more than I did.

I wouldn’t blame anyone for claiming it. Just felt like a mediocre secret (poor/moderate ratings) after their last secret being GTAV.

I see that the sale starts now, actually so grab your $10 coupons and go shopping, Epic shoppers.

It is a horrible indie Flash game, I admit.

Stellaris, a Civ-in-Space style strategy game by the makers of Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis, is free to play this weekend on Steam.

It’s a lot of fun. You start out on one planet in one star system. You explore, tech, colonize, and fight. You choose the governing ethics of your empire, which has a noticeable impact on a play through.

Me neither but I have never found a reason to not accept a free game.

It’s 100GB, that’s one reason to never install it lol.

I seriously doubt I will ever play it in my whole life. I have zero interest. This is probably the game I am least likely to play of any of the games Epic has ever given away (and that’s saying something).

I still got it though cuz why not? It just sits in my library taking up no space.

Oi, Stellaris is a jewel. I liked a good space-based 4X game, and Stellaris is very that, but making it all realtime (with adjustable timescale) has made it so I can’t go back to turn-based 4X games. I just hated waiting for players agonizing over their turns, or having to wait around while other people are having interminable space combats.

The DLCs added to the game have radically changed it over the years, as well. I did not regret my purchase

Steam is having a free weekend for F1 2020 and the base game is 75% off for the duration.

Just saw that, myself. Taking advantage of that, for sure. I find a lot of racing game hit or miss for me, but apparently there are a lot of training wheels options included to make people like me enjoy the game.

Well sonofabitch…after having a lot of fun playing it over the weekend, apparently I forgot to actually buy the damn thing :expressionless:

Wish list and wait for summer sale. Probably be the same discount
