Today the free Epic game is Pathfinder: Kingmaker, which is a game I already have but it’s fantastic. That’s a great one to get for free.
There are two DLC’s you have to separately add to your cart that are also free. They may be always free, but worth noting.
Coincidentally, I’m a few weeks out from starting a real life Pathfinder: Kingmaker game. My understanding is that the computer version is close enough the the pen & paper campaign that it’s spoilerific and I’ll need to backlog today’s gift.
Tomorrow’s game is likely Prey (inc. Mooncrash DLC) based on the helmet icon on the “Mystery gift” box.

Base game only though. As of yesterday, EGS only had the Prey version bundled with Mooncrash but I guess they decided to add a “base only” version for the giveaway.
Tomorrow looks like Control. Which is a great game but has been cheap/free a LOT this year.
Even if uou have played Prey, and if not, grab it is excellent, then get it from the Mooncrash dlc. It is superb, and pretty much what inspired Deathloop.
I heard someone else say it includes Mooncrash though the store page says “Base Game”. I’m away from PC so can’t check my library or the client.

Mages of Mystralia is the free Epic game today
EGS, for the first time, made me do a CAPTCHA and it was a super fiddly one (read: super annoying). I understand it is not a good look to gripe about something that is being given for free. But, this is new and it is annoying.
Mine asked me to pick out trucks from pictures that had cars and busses and pickups and fire engines. One pic was just a hood. Which is a truck?
Weird, no CAPTCHA for me and I’m even VPNing in from a sketchy country. You must be even more sketchy than that.
Dunno…I even bought a game from them a week ago (Inscryption…surprisingly good…was on sale for $16 and they applied a $10 coupon so got it for $6, good deal). I don’t even have my VPN on.
I usually get Captcha’d if I try to claim right as it goes live and the servers are getting slammed. I assume any bots hit it right when it flips. I was hit six times trying to claim this, enough so that I assumed picking out boats WAS the free game of the day 
Also, I had a moment of wondering if it differentiated between a “boat” and a “ship”.
None for me either. (Though I don’t have a VPN and I’m in the USA so YMMV how sketchy that is.)
Oh, by the way, that X-Morph Defense looks fun… For once you’re the invaders, trying to terraform Earth. I like the premise.
