If you like the genre then TW:WH is a fantastic game. WH2 even better.
So much so they kinda ruined all of the other Total War games for me. It is hard to go back and play the historical ones (cool as they are) after having had access to dragons and spells and whatnot.
Of course, if you do not like the Total War genre then you probably won’t like this either. But, free so worth a try I think.
MMORPG as the name suggests, with arcade-style fighting. Gets grindy later on if you want to get into end game or deep into crafting, etc but a perfectly playable casual experience for the first 40ish levels as I remember it.
Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have vertigo-- they could even be a dwarf.
Interesting twist on the classic dungeon side scroller.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first-person mystery focused on exploration and discovery. As an occult-minded detective Paul Prospero, piece together the truth behind Ethan’s disappearance — and the fate of his family.
I can personally confirm this is an enjoyable low-impact game. One of the defining games of the genre. Finished it a couple of years ago.
Good to hear. I picked this up a couple months ago during a previous epic giveaway. I’m fairly picky about which free games I’ll claim, but it looked intriguing.
It is an outstanding game! If you dig turn-based, squad combat (so not Civ or Hearts of Iron or Crusader Kings…all very different) you will LOVE this game. Really…everyone should get it and try it unless they know they hate these kind of games.
Both are excellent games. Just nothing alike…at all. Here is a short review from when it came out:
All I can say is it is a game that grows on you fast. At first you are thinking it is a little cheesy and kinda meh. And then you realize it is 3a and you have to get up for work soon. It is one of those kinda games.
I look forward to your post howling in frustration when you miss a 90% shot standing next to the enemy.
XCOM is kinda famous for stuff like that (everyone who has played it knows that pain). I guarantee your buddy knows what I mean if you ask him. Conversely, you will literally find yourself holding your breath as an enemy lines up a shot on you and you sit there praying they miss. Good stuff.
Don’t let it dissuade you. It really is an excellent game (also, loads of mods are out there now making the game endlessly payable and tweakable).
