Free PDF Merge Tool Recommendations?

I recently purchased a new printer/scanner that can scan documents and save in PDF format. A multipage document results in multiple PDF files, one for each page.

I have Adobe Reader but it’s only good for viewing. There seem to be a lot of free PDF merge tools out there. Do any of you have recommendations? All I need to do is combine multiple files into one, so that one multipage document can live in one file.
