Freeze spring rolls before or after the cook?

Son and I made spring rolls last night.

Still have a truck load of filling left. I plan on assembling the rest of them and then freezing them. But should I freeze them before or after the fry?

Does it even matter?

IIRC before. I made a bunch once, froze them, and gave extras to friends. I remember giving them cooking directions when I handed them over.
