Boycott is a name - like Biro or Lynch. So, it does not need to be translated.

Sure, Balor, you don’t need to translate the name of Mr Boycott. But there was no obvious reason to assume that this name was used in French too to mean “to boycott”. So, the question was perfectly sensible…
