OK, I’m restless as hell and have never had anything pierced. I’m also a kinky son of a bitch, and I figure–what the hell, one more hole couldn’t hurt. Indulge me.
First, let’s talk about eyebrow. Here’s a reference picture from about two years ago. I’m the guy; ignore the girl, she’s a crazy cat lady ;). Do you think I can pull it off? I’m thinking a double or single barbell, but I might do something else if there’s some sort of consensus.
Now the fun part. Dick piercing. Sorry, no reference picture. I’ve done some googling and found rumblings of a couple of things that give me pause, and I figured this is as good a place as any to ask. Will a frenum piercing make a condom more likely to break? Also, I read somewhere that being circumcised makes this a bit of a more difficult piercing to get, as a lot of that skin is removed during circumcision. Can I tell if I’ve got “enough skin” for a piercing?
What kind of cost am I looking at for each of these? Also, ladies, ever had sex with a man who had said piercing? How did it feel?
*For those who don’t want to google “frenum” (believe me, I understand!), it’s the bit of skin below the underside of the head of the penis. The “V spot”, as some people call it. The sensitive spot.
I had my eyebrow done a few years ago (like 10? maybe 12…crap, it’s been a while) I took the rings out maybe 2 years after I got it pierced (I have it doub;e-pierced) and I can still put them in – they don’t “grow back” completely. People always notice that I have 4 holes on my eyebrow, not very noticeable, and I don’t mind, but keep in mind there will be a reminder forever.
As for cost – it shouldn’t be more than $40-50 for an eyebrow piercing. It’s quick, easy and doesn’t hurt…much. Just be careful when shampooing your hair, as it can cause an infection. I think just about anyone can “pull off” the eyebrow ring – it’s one of the few peircings that don’t make me cringe when I see other people with it. But I’m “old school.” At 35, I knew precisely 2 people with pierced nipples when I did it back in the early 90’s – myself and my ex. I had my nose pierced in 4th grade (that would be…1983 or thereabouts?) so yeh I find piercings being mainstream a bit annoying, get off my lawn!
As for the other. That is one I don’t recommend getting. Too much risk of infection, damage. If you insist, use a RESPECTED piercer. It should cost upwards of $90 – very likely in the $100’s if you’re using someone good. A good piercer wants to be sure they don’t do a genital piercing on someone that is not ready to take care of it. Feel free to send pics if you do decide on this one What? If you were a chick and I were a guy and boobies were mentioned, the obligatory “cite?” post would follow!
Can’t say I’ve been up close and personal to a frenum piercing, but an ex of mine had a Prince Albert.
Once the condom was on, I didn’t notice any major differences from an unpierced guy, to be honest - the piercing would’ve had to be further down on the shaft to connect with any of my sensitive bits, after all. He definitely noticed a difference, though, based on what he told me.
Speaking of condoms, we never had one break on us, though we certainly gave it the good ol’ college try.
Lastly, speaking from experience - if you’ve got any hardware below the belt, it’s usually best to give you partners fair warning before you drop trou. It’s errr… surprising… to be confronted with a piece of shiny metal where you don’t normally expect to see one (then again, maybe I’ve just lived a relatively sheltered life).
Personally, since this is IMO, eyebrow piercings are terribly distracting and not at all attractive to me. Here you are talking to a person and they’ve got this glinting piece of metal on their face. It draws the eye away from the face which is where I want to be looking when I talk to somebody.
The only thing on the head I’ve every found attractive as a piercing was ears or a modest nose stud (a big stud looks like a booger went traveling).
My advice, start with an earring. If you want to be kinkier, pierce the top of the ear cartilage rather than the lobe or the tragus or something (though cartilage piercings hurt more and take longer to heal).
As for getting Mr Happy pierced, “Ewwwwwww” and “Oowwwwww”. One story from my piercer friend, he gave the guy a Jacob’s ladder, and later got a call from the guy. He was asking what to do. One barbell had come loose during sex with a girlfriend and was now “lost”. My friend really had no advice other than to refer him off to the hospital. To see the piercing, go here and navigate the gallery til you see the piercings. NSFW <mods>multi-clicks are involved</mods>. It’s pretty easy to spot. Wave at my tats as you go by.
Piercers are going to charge more for anything where they have to handle your genitals. Yeah, same jewelry, same needle, even maybe the same amount of time. The male piercer I know, though, charges more to touch your dick.
Any piercing can be rejected. It could be that it wasn’t deep enough or it could just have been rejection. After my tummy tuck, my daughter and I got our belly buttons pierced. Mine had been years ago and did just fine, but obviously, I had taken those rings out (it was pierced thrice, I like concentrics, what can I say?) and obviously that skin had been removed in the tummy tuck. The piercer did a great job, but I noticed that it was starting to reject, so I took it out. These things happen for various reasons. My bet is your friends just rejected it. No big deal.
