The ending sucked. Big time, completely. This plot device is so threadbare you could see ass crack through it. Just my opinion, of course. 
I haven’t seen the show, but I’m surprised by the baby’s name - Emma. Considering what was going on between Ross and Rachel when he married Emily, I would have thought that it would be one name crossed right off Rachel’s list. Somehow she seems like the type to have a baby named Hannah.
Is there any discussion on how the baby gets her name in the show?
Yuk. I don’t even want to watch it next season–with all the oooohhhh…“look what the wittle baby waby just did” talk!
Any one remember Mad About You? It was poplular until they did the baby thing-than SPLAT! The wittle poo poo hit da faawyn!!
Ross and Rachel had originally thought about either Isabella or Delilah, but they didn’t seem to fit. Monica mentioned that the baby names she had picked for her own future kids were Daniel if a boy and Emma if a girl. Rachel fell in love with the name, and at first, Monica didn’t want to “give up” the name but she decided to let Rachel use it.
Also, it’s interesting to note that back in season 2 when Ross and Rachel were dating, they talk about their future and Ross mentioned that he liked “Emily” as a baby name!
Enough Janice. She has become a tired old plot device that the writers roll out when they are hard up for ideas.
Poor Friends. It jumped the shark a LONG time ago. Don’t networks know that when babies start to sound like good ideas it is time for the show to go?!
I figure I’ll watch next season, as it will be the last (it has to be - everyone knows the show has run its course), and things might get interesting as they pull out all the stops. I’m planning to just ignore the “Ross/Rachel/Joey” mix-up hijinks, and once that is over, we’ll see what they pull out of the hat. Oh yeah, I’m planning to ignore any baby crap, too. Just close my eyes and pretend it isn’t there…lalalalala
