Friends don't let friends wear short sleeve shirts with a tie

I hate ties.
I hate long sleeve shirts, even more.

You are entitled to you opinion, I’m entitled to think its dumb and a really stupid way to judge people by.

That’s all we need—more stereotypical IT dorks.

I’m all about sensible work-fashion. Most ‘grown up’ businesses the corporate culture is slacks, dress shirt (long sleeve), no tie and always roll your sleeves up a notch or two. Sometime a tie is classy at work, I like that. But a big ‘no-no’ is a short sleeve dress shirt… adult men shouldn’t wear these (just like shorts).

Perfectly fine, if the tie is also loosened.

Once your dead it’s OK to wear a tie

Ties with short sleeves are great. It helps me identify the missionaries and Amway salesmen.

Short sleeves, necktie. Hmmm. Sounds like an English teacher in Bangkok.

On the few occasions I’ve worn a tie here, it’s mostly been with a short-sleeved shirt, because they simply don’t make long-sleeved shirts here with sleeves my length. Or they didn’t; now, when I wear a tie maybe once a decade, there are a couple “Big & Tall” options, but even then it’s difficult to find long sleeves. The Thais just don’t believe humans could possibly have arms my length.

If Detective Sipowicz jumped off a cliff, would you do that too?

Oh yeah! Mormon missionaries. Forgot about them. Necktie, white short-sleeve shirt and bicycle helmet.

Acceptable to whom?

What about this guy?

For me personally, I agree with the OP.

Fine, the sleeves are now down and buttoned.

Damn fashion Nazis. :frowning:

With an ass like that, he can get away with almost anything.

I know everyone is bothered by different things but this hardly pings on my radar. I like ties on a man, though.

Can I interest you in the Book of Mormon, ma’am?

But Dilbert wears…

OK then.

Awww, I wish I was Sipowicz…

I think I see my next strident Facebook “repost if you agree” status!

FTR, I agree about the ties.

Agree with the OP 100%.

Who the heck are you? The fashion police:rolleyes:
