I for one thought it was lovely.
It does. It only works, however, if the background changes a lot. In a pinch, rapidly evolving lighting conditions can do the trick. Try accelerating the sun as it rises and wanes outside your window, then report.
It has existed for a very long time. Maybe from the beginning.
A feature is that your “friends” posts are (or used to be) displayed in larger formats. At some point I used this in order to notice more easily the posts written by some people, for some reason or another (liked the poster or found his posts generally interesting, wanted to follow debates on a particular topic, etc…). It didn’t really work properly.
What I had missed is that people were warned, and I think had to agree when I added them as friends. So, I was adding friends, deleting them, re-adding them depending on my interests at the moment. I assume some have probably wondered why I was doing so.
