I used to babysit some neighbor kids Jamie, Jodie, Justin and the twins Jennifer and Jason.
A cow-orker named her twins Stacey and Tracey (exact spelling, I checked) and they’re fraternal. So you’d guess Tracey might be the boy, right? Wrong. Poor kid.
My sister’s twins are Matt and Mandy, but at least it’s Matthew and Amanda when said correctly.
I went to school with a set of identical twins named **Ludwig and Johannes. Nietzsche. **They were the biggest geeks. Their father was German (duh) and taught calculus at the University of Minnesota. The thing is, they didn’t even go by nicknames, like Lou and Joe. Nope, they were Ludwig and Johannes. Those poor boys.
My grandmother and her twin sister and a set of twins I knew in high school had names that rhymed completely (both first and middle names). I don’t think they were bad choices though!
My grandmother and her late twin’s names: Ella Dorine (Nanny, to me!) and Stella Corine
My high school friends: Terri Janice (Ja-NEECE) and Cheri Denise
I also have cousins who are twins, but only their first names rhyme: Marilyn and Sherilyn
My best friends in JHS were Sherri & Jerri. And I have a pair of cousins named Stephanie and Tiffany.
When I was doing IVF, I kept hoping I’d have triplets or quads–you know, Larry, Moe & Curly, or Manny, Moe, and Jack. If it were quads, how about John, Paul, George, and Ringo? Unfortunately, my twins didn’t make it past 12 weeks, but their names were Taddeusz (Tad) and Elinor (Ellie).
I was talking to someone at an engagement party about 5 years ago, and he was saying his wife had just given birth to twins. Their names?
Lambert & Butler
I don’t know if they have them in the USA, but here in England L&B are a brand of cheap and nasty cigarettes. I had to walk away because I was gonna burst out laughing in his face, and it was obvious he was really happy with them. When will people learn?
That’s exactly what my mum nicknamed my two cousins when my aunt was pregnant (their names are Olivia and Joshua now, my aunt and uncle are so boring!)
My mom used to work with a woman named Bonita. She had singleton sisters named Freida, Lucrieta, and Zeeta. The twins were named Herman & Alice.
From the same small town - there was a crime report for (IIRC) Merlin & Verlin
My mother-in-law used to teach in inner city Philadephia and she often had kids in her class named Male (pronounced MALL-LE) and Female (pronounced FEMALL-LE). Their parents were so dumb that when they hospital gave them the paperwork for their babies, they saw Male / Female and thought the hospital had named the kids for her. Either that or maybe the parent didn’t fill out the paperwork. Ahh!
