Small comfort. Apparently Sir Pterry has a rare form of Alzheimers that doesn’t affect memory, cognition and literacy as much as vision, writing and spelling:(
DAMFINo, WERE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS? THAT’S EASY TO DO.

I agree. In fact I think I remember a couple deaths, even of characters I liked, which made me quite happy for the character. Beyond just the kindliness of Death himself, there’s something about the circumstances and action of dying in Discworld that just makes you feel like they’re in good hands to an incredible degree.
I would like to see him at the very least snip certain sprigs of the Discworld story to a nice neat end, not necessarily the hardcore ongoing ones like the wizards and witches but more the single-character offshoot things like Tiffany Aching and Lipwig. And since Susan grew up it’s implied these half-immortal children eventually die, so I would very much like to see her end or other similar characters (Lobsang maybe). I trust based on his usual handling of death scenes it wouldn’t be depressing at all.
New Discworld novel coming in October!
The title is Snuff. I refrain.
It sucks that he’s a sufferer of this condition, and it sucks that he feels this course of action is necessary, but what he’s doing is quite noble, IMO.
He’s aware that his own fame forces this topic into the debate arena, and is exploiting that fact (and I think that’s a good thing)
yes, i was.
and no it’s not easy
(Didn’t come out right in preview but the neither did yours. Here goes)
OK, I’m not sure why that didn’t work for you. I’m guessing it’s related to whatever is causing my username to be decapitalized, but I’m not sure what that is, either. What sort of device are you posting from?
Sony laptop Vaio WINDOWSHome Basic, Firefox Mozilla
It takes 37000 posts, I guess.
