…and the Pentagon says we’ve set them back a matter of months, which means that every argument in this thread supporting US intervention is null and void. Feel free to begin again.
US strikes set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months, Pentagon assessment says

Well, it’s 104 degrees outside.
So, do you slather on sunblock or mustard…?
I’ve been to Iran. They literally are the nicest people in the world. They hate their government too.
Ben Affleck, when he made that movie, said that his ‘then wife’ Jennifer Garner was literally the embodiment of Iran. I’ve never been to Iran, but Jennifer Garner drove past me once… and she was a bitch.
Who knows? Maybe someday she’ll find some manners and a smile. But if she does, it’ll probably be for the money.
You’d have me to go to Persia looking for a smile? Really ?
- Best Sex Ever!
- Band Name!
- Miss those days…
I have no idea what movie you’re referring to. I don’t know who Jennifer Garner is, let alone what significance she might have. I’m saying from personal experience the people in Iran are the nicest and politest people I’ve ever met, and I’ve been around the world. Your post is just so much irrelevant nonsense to me. Not sure why you even bothered.
Argo, I would assume. Decent popcorn actioner, if you don’t care too much about historical accuracy. Won an Oscar, inexplicably.

Johanna, this is Ben Affleck.
He has been in a number of movies. His movie ‘Argo’ won best picture in 2013. It was about rescuing the American embassy hostages in Iran.
This is his ex-wife, who at the time he described as being his idea of what Iran was like in 1979.
I don’t know why he said it, but he did say it.
As for what is/isn’t irrelevant nonsense to you… well I don’t know you very well. Most of the people I know don’t vacation in Iran. You do. Maybe Iran doesn’t have the best cable reception ( but how would I know? ) .
As for bother… bother is for people with common points of reference. I’m happy to let my conversation with you lapse given that we have none.
Good Night…!
It’s like you’re having a stroke and someone is taking it down as dictation and posting it on the Dope.
Jennifer Garner is completely irrelevant to the topic. My personal experience with the Iranian people (which was not on vacation, but professional travel) is relevant. Your response was more nonsense.
Roflmao. Being so very wrong about another person is kind of impressive.
But then, you are always assuming the worst of everyone. This quote seems relevant:
“Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us.”
And why am I “wrong”? Because you don’t like his favored targets for genocide?
I’m sure they will come back and apologize for their error any time now.
I also like the argument that the problem with the JCPOA was that it let Iran be weeks away from building a bomb all the time. That agreement was torn up in 2017 or so (by the US, which is why you can’t trust Iran for some reason) and many weeks have passed since then and still no bomb. Either Iran can’t or doesn’t want to build one, but we still just had to inexplicably go in last week.
It’s actually an ideal outcome for the war mongers because now Iran is once again weeks away from have nukes and they can bomb them again at some vague time in the future that is politically convenient for them and the same racist morons here will cheer.
Yeah, I guess if we’re always a few weeks from “breakout time”, we can bomb whenever Trump needs a testosterone shot (or has a failed military parade) or Netanyahu is facing another indictment.
Surely the likes of Trump and Netanyahu would never be so dishonest or dishonorable to use deadly military force for political reasons?
It’s okay, they’re Muslims.
Oh sorry for the delay. You see it’s garbage day and I had to take the cans out, wait for the truck, and then take them back. Then I had to take a mad shit. And then I had to deal with your self important reply.
To recap, in priority order:
- Taking out the garbage
- Waiting for the trucks
- Taking back the cans
- Taking a massive dump
- Dealing with a war loving mumble-fuck shill
Your relevance and importance must be the stuff of (your) dreams. I don’t know if posting pro-war nonsense will earn you a professional promotion.
What do you see as upward mobility from promoting and justifying death on a massive scale? No, never mind. That would be like asking a mass murderer for his/her manifesto and I have no interest in providing you with more of a platform.
…I’m rewatching the TV show Elementary for the umpteenth time. I’m at the tail end of the Kitty arc. And this part just happened (open spoilers for the episode) :
Its getting harder and harder to distinguish real life with fiction. I’ll be very relieved to find out that the last couple of years have all been a dream.
