You appear to be an intelligent and quite articulate person but your choice of threads and your failure to respond in those threads (sometimes) is very annoying.
As has been told to you before, it is expected that a thread opener returns to his/her thread and not just bugger off to open another.
I honestly believe that if you thought about what you post before you posted it you could, I said COULD, be a useful member of this board.
Until you can do that are nothing but a pest and fully deserving of all the scorn that has been directed at you.

Seriously though, you gotta love the pomposity of a guy who would title one OP “an interesting series of threads”, and then crosslink them for member convenience, so that years from now they’ll be catalogued in the same place, for reference.
Maybe if you sent us all discount coupons to use in your shop, we could be persuaded to like you more.
Or maybe you could just chill, and go with the flow. What did you expect? I’ve been lurking here since 2001, a member since – well, whatever it says over there – and I’m ‘one of the gang’ here about as much as the squirrels on my deck are part of my family. These people keep feeding me, so I hang around. It’s a comfortable place to hang out, and the best thing is (I think you’re missing this part), they don’t require anything of me in exchange for the enjoyment of their company.
That said, if the squirrels start annoying me, I won’t give a damn if they don’t come back (and in fact will most likely encourage them not to).
Perhaps it isn’t the membership that should change its perspective of you.
And for God’s sake, pony up the membership fee before you start bitching about nobody loving you. Sheesh.
FWIW, I have been here almost 6 years, have 4 times as many posts as you have in under 30 days. My posts rarely get acknowledged and I am probably an unknown to most here and you are known, perhaps not loved, but known. Perhaps you just need to change your goals.

The SDMB, god bless us, we’re a very forgiving lot. Or at least, we can be, when the mood strikes us. Or at least when the poster admits their mistakes and makes an honest effort to change. Meh, I would classify most of the **Autolycus **stuff as more or less good-natured ribbing. The posts I see about **SBSO **seem to be genuine spite rivaling the treatment of someone like Clothahump, but without the same justification, IMHO.
You could post the entire lyrics to a song that you want to promote (via your NSFW website) about wishing death on people. And just for good measure, use purple text while you’re at it.
I only usually see a pile on from an inane pit thread carried on to non pit posts from same person if they are equally inane. If you start a pit thread saying that Dubya is just doing God’s work and everyone against him will burn for eternity, you’ll get nailed. If you then start a non pit thread arguing that the earth is flat, yes many will refer to your previous stupid post as proof you’re a wacko. But if your next and future threads are reasonable and intelligent, I don’t think there’d be a lot of carryover from the first.
And I agree our diminutive friend could use Omegaman as an example of how to adapt to the board without throwing his toys out of the pram.
