Did you read the Cafe Society thread? He admitted that he had dismissed the entire forum as being lowbrow without actually reading any but one of the threads. Based on the thread titles alone, he began bashing the entire forum.
When presented with a well-rounded list of thread titles, containing (as you say) writers, painters, and various highbrow subjects, he dismissed them all. Merely by looking at the titles.
It’s hard for anybody to walk away with the notion that SBSO is remotely interested in an honest discussion of content quality improvement when he so eagerly engages in knee-jerk dismissal of anything with an unsavory name.
And as SBSO so eagerly labels, he is eagerly labeled.
