We did too. Weird thing was, this guy and his girlfriend “bought” me because he needed his VW towed, and knew I would be able to keep it out of the ditch while he pulled me down the highway by a chain. So, off we went at lunch to tow the Bug down the road. Closest I’ve ever come to driving a Volkswagen. The gal made me wear her pantyhose. That was just gratuitous.
Oh, wait. My kid has a Jetta I’ve driven. But its mostly Audi I think.
Senior slave day? I guess I went to a pretty nice moderate school.
Middle class for sure. All races.

We all got along just great.
