All throughout public mailing lists on the Internet are annoying fucks who think it’s worth your time for you to read an entire e-mail about them bitching that they want you to put your reply after the content of the e-mail you are replying to, not before.
Well I have a message for all these people, and now that Google searches these forums they are probably going to see it:
Upgrade your brain to support nonlinear contextual cues you stupid fucking piece of shit who should do their ancestors a favor by cutting off your fucking balls. You must be seriously fucking retarded if you can’t comprehend my e-mail because I put my text - the text I intend for you to read, you fucking moron at the top of my e-mail.

It’s not too hard to figure out where the reply is. I’ve never had anyone complain but I’d be equally annoyed if they did. The worst is in a forum PM when they put their reply inside of the quote that contains the whole conversation you’ve been having for a few days.
I don’t like HTML e-mails either. If all you have to say is words, then all you need is plain-text. I don’t need to see colors and fonts and shit. I guess it’s alright if you want to embed pictures, but usually that’s only done in those stupid ass chain letters about how great life and god are.
But I agree with the original poster about top posting; what’s the problem? I had someone tell me that on a FreeBSD mailing list. He was helping me out with a problem I had so I went with it. Otherwise, I would have told him to get over it. On the other hand, I don’t like when it’s done in forums. It looks like the person is writing some independent message, and then is replying to someone else but forgot the reply.

What does it take convert something that starts out as a 3-row, 2-column Word table to a jpeg, which of course can’t be opened without some kind of viewer or saving and inserting into Word or something?
Pity the poor folks who try to read daily digests rather than loose mail mailing lists. Every digest is full of people posing, quoting a bit of the message they’re replying to, and leaving the rest at the bottom of their message. Then someone replies and quotes a bit, leaving both messages intact underneath their post. Then someone else, and on and on.
It’s frustrating because every digest forces me to read the last several digests too. So fuck the selfish assholes who can’t be bothered to clean up their messages.
It’s a mailing list that’s been around since 1991 and still serves a vital purpose. See a historian. Not everything is appropriate for message board-type operations.
But anyway, I don’t read it anymore. It’s too fucking hard to read from all the ignorant, selfish, unthinking idiots (pick one or all) who top post.
