Is any one really shocked to see Two Many Cats post something blatantly racist?
I mean come on.

I don’t usually. But it makes a point about what the progressive prone are willing to tolerate within their own ranks.
It’s about not judging people about whether their thoughts are correct enough. It’s all about feeling superior to others. Racists feel superior by belonging to a racial group. But progressives like to feel superior to each other by being more correct in thought. That’s what’s up with the history bashing, useless and divisive though it is.
Okay, the joke wasn’t particularly funny either. But F Troop is. And I still miss Song of the South. So bite me.

Excuse double post. I guess I’m still doubling down.
I’m not aware of es history.
Interesting. This could be either good or bad.
This Plymouth Rock debate is getting a little testy. Come on everyone. Play gneiss.
I fully agree. C’mon guys, I’ve been here for years and you know me. I may be a bitch, but I’m no Nazi. Don’t be scared. I agree the joke went too far, and I’m sorry.
Please excuse me. Alcoholism isn’t funny anymore.
It never was. My mom was one, so I know.
Plymouth Rock maybe overated as an icon, but nobody’s suggesting it be dug up, hauled out to sea and dumped. But still. Graffiti? Not gneiss. Don’t do it.
Thank you Indigenous Americans for putting up with us as long as you have. Your history is a proud one, and as US citizens, it’s our history too. Not as proud, obviously because we were such bastards and still are. But we’re trying.
Happy Nevada Caucus. Feel the Bern.
Hmmmm
Yeah. I was right then. Are you right all the time?
Still. Made you guys think about freedom of thought vs being a jerk. I still think all those things I wrote. I don’t still have my Larry Wilde ethnic joke books from the 70’s, but I still remember the jokes. So do a lot of others. Does that make me evil?
I still think history bashing of old white wrongs is annoying. And unnecessarily divisive when we’re facing down a third of the country for our souls. Does that make me a cause traitor? Is the far right correct about the hive mind of the left? I hope not.
I think a lot of political correctness has a lot to do with feeling superior to others. It gives true social justice a bad reputation.
I apologize for being a jerk in posting a hurtful joke. I got carried away making a point. But I still think the stuff I’ve just posted here.
Freedom of thought is important to me. I left the Jehovah’s Witnesses for the sake of it.
I mean keep making your drunk Indian jokes to show how un-PC you are if you want to.
Just don’t be surprised when people assume you like making racist jokes because you’re racist.
[Moderating]
But you are the one getting a warning for hate speech.

We visited Plymouth yesterday. The red paint appears to have been completely removed from everything, except for the rock itself. I suppose the irregular surface makes it difficult to get it all out, because there were definite remains there.
It didn’t matter. There was a guide giving a lecture, and a crowd of eager listeners. Nobody seemed to car about the residual paint.

Mills, can I call you that? You need to make this more clear. Is this a ‘Official Warning’ or just a note, or something else? I know this is your forum and don’t parrot the other mods, but can you be more … definitive?
But the scissors will probably get chipped and broken against the rock the paper is on!
Is it not the case that the “moderating” tags and the word “warning” are sufficiently definitive?
Yes, that’s an official warning. Generally speaking, if you see a moderator say, “You’re getting a warning,” and it’s inside [Moderating] tags, it’s safe to take that as an “official” warning. If it had been a note, I wouldn’t have called it a warning. I’d have called it a “note.”
