Unless you’re speaking hyperbolically, may we say “you were full of it” by a certain date?
Knock yourself out.
Sharpie, not crayon.
WTF? The attacker, who said he’s a Marine, is only charged with assault. The witnesses said the attacker was strangling the reporter. Why isn’t he being charged with attempted murder?
I wonder if he (a) is someone who was in the Marine Corps, (b) is in the Marine Forces Reserve, or (c) is full of shit and was never in the Marines or any other branch for that matter.
As @Guest-starring_Id can tell you, I follow an older Comedy Tradition.
Maybe at next year’s National Association of Black Journalists conference Donald’s speech can eventually go offrails by copping from that skit and going, “Look - it’s people like you who cause unrest.”
When it’s white guy against non-white guy, the rules are pretty clear (at least in some localities). Leniency!
It’s not just that the attacker claimed to be a Marine–it’s that he claimed “I’m a Marine and I took an oath to protect the country from people like you.”
Many Marines deplore racism, but the service does have a reputation for attracting…people with other views on the topic. You still have to wonder how this guy came to believe that his oath required him to attack people with the “wrong” skin color (or reporters).
Just watching Biden on BBC. He had some personal anecdotes and spoke highly of Jimmy Carter.
Trump would have said something vaguely good/mixed about Jimmy Carter and made the rest of the fucking speech about himself.
Oh, he did
“Those of us who have been fortunate to have served as President understand this is a very exclusive club, and only we can relate to the enormous responsibility of leading the Greatest Nation in History,” he wrote.
Not only is it an exclusive club, it’s even more exclusive now that Carter’s dead. I, for one, am surprised he didn’t manage to get that in there somehow.
I didn’t think I could be shocked by Trump supporters anymore. I thought I had heard the most vile shit from them imaginable already. I was wrong. The comments they have been making about Carter today simply have my jaw dangling. Like this, for example:
“The sooner he turns into peanut manure, the better. It’ll be the only thing he was ever good at”
That was from someone proclaiming to be a Christian.
My faith in humanity dropped another couple of notches today, and I didn’t think that possible.
“I guess my building’s the tallest in New York, now.”
At this point, any time I encounter someone proclaiming her/his Christianity, I flee in the other direction.
Christinanity.

I’m not a theist, but I do sometimes have fantasies of Jesus Christ suddenly appearing right in front of one of these “Christians” and holding them to account for their hatefulness.
Who wrote that sentence? It has a 3.2 average. ShitGibbon’s text rarely exceeds a 2. No way he wrote that.
He said once, JUST ONCE, that he opposed abortion. This is all some of them need.
I also have a feeling that the Manchurian Cantaloupe will be persona non grata at the Carter memorials.
Okay, when former Rush drummer Neil Peart died almost 5 years ago, I did not see one negative comment about him, and have not, even from people who said they didn’t like Rush’s music. More than once, I have also seen or heard, “I never understood why people would mourn a celebrity’s death, until this one.” Ditto Betty White.
I predicted the same thing about Jimmy Carter, but this proves me wrong. Hope this is the only negative thing I see. I know he wasn’t perfect, but none of us are.
